Million Dollar Extreme Presents: World Peace - "Your Vibe Attracts Your Tribe"

"Your Vibe Attracts Your Tribe" is the premiere episode of World Peace, a post-ironic sketch comedy series created by the comedy troupe Million Dollar Extreme. The series ran for six episodes on Cartoon Network's adult-oriented nighttime block [adult swim] in the summer of 2016.

This recording (as well as the other World Peace entries on this site) were recorded by me through my DVR as they premiered. I was incredibly excited for this show when it was announced so I made sure to record them in case episodes didn't rerun or became incredibly scarce in the future (which is partially true). I encoded these recordings from my DVR on Christmas 2016 using very subpar equipment (Elgato HD60 Game Capture w/ some old shitty version of OBS) and it shows. Some of the audio is out-of-sync and there are interlacing issues. I really didn't know what I was doing back then and just wanted my precious World Peace episodes digitized so that I could watch them at school with friends. The cable box that this was recorded to ended up getting traded back to Mediacom in December 2017 for a TiVo unit and I lost a decade of recordings that I neglected to transfer over. These World Peace premieres (as well as some Weatherscan) are the only things to survive from that DVR, so I'm happy to still have them regardless of how mediocre they are.

Million Dollar Extreme - as well as Sam Hyde - have always been seen in a controversial light by the mainstream; when the series was greenlit, many people (including myself) knew it wouldn't be long before the plug was pulled. When World Peace was cancelled in December of 2016, only a half-dozen episodes premiered with five reruns of each airing in the weeks afterwards. World Peace aired 36 times total, that's it. It's a shame the show didn't survive for more than a few months because regardless of the group's notoriety, World Peace was a work of art. In an age where [adult swim] seems to be starving for good content, World Peace stands as one of the last great series they've produced in a post-Aqua Teen Hunger Force era.
